Subject
Kate Mahoney, Miracles, Cures
Description
Kate Mahoney, third from left, is photographed at St Joseph's and St Patrick's Church in Utica, New York after a mass in celebration of St Marianne Cope's Canonization. Ms Mahoney was ill as a child, and a relic of St Marianne Cope was delivered to her hospital bedside after a total organ failure. Doctors in attendance proclaim that no medical intervention could have preserved Ms Maohoney's life, and is the first documented case supporting the successful intervention of a cure by Sr Marianne Cope. Thus, the case of Ms Mahoney's cure is considered a miracle.
